Practice-led learning
Role-play, case studies, and supervised sessions — not theory alone.
Once a year, Changed Foundation runs a structured programme that certifies participants as professional mental health counsellors — equipping them to serve mothers, veterans, youth, and communities across the UK and internationally.
Annual cohort training that certifies professional mental health counsellors for mothers, veterans, youth, and communities.
Too many communities lack enough trained counsellors to meet growing need. Our annual programme closes that gap — preparing compassionate professionals for ethical, evidence-informed support through Changed Foundation and partner programmes.
We work alongside public institutions and community leaders to expand access to quality mental health care, so more people receive help when they need it most.
Role-play, case studies, and supervised sessions — not theory alone.
Confidentiality, boundaries, and duty-of-care built into every module.
Graduates serve mothers, veterans, and youth through our live programmes.

Ethics, safeguarding, and trauma-informed practice at the core.
A clear path from application to certification — designed for real-world practice.
Tell us about your background and motivation. We review applications to ensure each cohort is diverse, committed, and ready for intensive learning.
Accepted participants receive programme materials, schedules, and guidance on what to expect — including confidentiality, ethics, and safeguarding standards.
Live and online sessions cover counselling fundamentals, trauma-informed care, active listening, crisis awareness, referral pathways, and programme-specific tracks for maternal, veteran, and youth support.
Participants apply skills through guided case studies, role-play, and supervised practice — with feedback from experienced facilitators on our leadership team.
Those who meet programme standards receive Changed Foundation certification as a professional mental health counsellor, recognised within our network and partner programmes.
Certified counsellors may join our professional network, take on matched assignments, and continue development through ongoing supervision and annual refreshers.
Our curriculum is aligned with recognised mental health practice principles and UK safeguarding expectations. Training is delivered by qualified facilitators with field experience in counselling, community mental health, and outreach.
We collaborate with government agencies and public health partners to strengthen community mental health capacity — helping certified counsellors reach underserved populations through coordinated, ethical programmes.
More than a certificate — a pathway to meaningful, professional service.
“Training gave me the confidence and structure to support mothers with compassion — and a network I still lean on today.”
